Eric Sheppard Challenge, You Could Go To Jail For It

Eric Sheppard Challenge, a social media trend, encourages people to stomp on the American Flag. Viral videos of individuals from across the country standing and stomping on the flag have outraged veterans, active members of the military, and patriots of all ages.

Stomping on the American Flag during the Eric Sheppard Challenge is an exercise in free speech and protected by law.

Actually that is bullshit, the act of stomping on the United States Flag is not protected by any law, in actuality it is prohibited and punishable by law in every state in America.

All of the following states prohibit mutilating, defacing, burning, maintaining on the floor, or trampling the U.S flag, also the following states punish this act either as a misdemeanor accompanied by either a $100-$1000 fine and imprisonment up to one year:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts,  Michigan, Minnesota, and Mississippi

The list continues 

Illinois and Kansas seem to be the only states that take this crime seriously and class it as a felony. Why don't the other states take this crime as seriously? Some of the southern states even go so far as to cover the confederate flag under the statutes.

One big question is, what the hell would make you think that you have the right to do this? How is this your right to freedom of speech? To defile YOUR countries flag? If you don't like it that much, you should try moving to another country, walk on their flag and see if you get to leave alive! This would be the only country where you can do something like that and get a slap on the hand. Another huge question is why isn't the government tracking down the ass clowns that publicly give out their name and record this act?
